Paramore - Riot!
I love this album a lot. I listened to Paramore's albums in the order Brand New Eyes, then Paramore, and then this one, and this one at the moment is my favourite of theirs. I haven't listened to All We Know is Falling yet, which is their debut, but lots of people view this album as being more of a proper debut for Paramore and their music.
Track 1 - For A Pessimist I'm Pretty Optimistic 6/10
This song is okay. Not great. I was really concerned when I heard this song that the whole album would be like this (it isn't don't worry). It isn't a bad song, it just isn't what I expected from Paramore.
Track 2 - That's What You Get 8/10
I quite like this song, it is melodic and has a powerful chorus. Not particularly long lasting, and by this I mean that it does get dull fairly quickly. But otherwise, it is a good track with a powerful riff and a strong message.
Track 3 - Hallelujah 8/10
Not a bad song, but it is quite high which isn't great if you are singing in the shower or in public! Powerful chorus, but for me, the fact that it isn't easy to sing along to means that I'm quite likely to skip it if it comes up.
Track 4 - Misery Business 10/10
Love everything about this song - beginning, end, middle - everything! Great riffs, lyrics, and chorus. The whole song flows incredibly well, and I don't think that any Paramore fan on earth dislikes this song. Hayley sings it incredibly, as always, and it has a great middle eight. LOVE IT!
Track 5 - When It Rains 7/10
Really promising introduction music, and love the chorus, but that's it. The verses are pretty average and sound dull. However, the chorus is great - really improves the song.
Track 6 - Let The Flames Begin 9/10
I actually really like this song. It was one of the ones that when I first listened to the album I didn't pay much attention to, but then when I discovered it properly I really loved it. Also, I love the way how it is complimented by 'Part II' off of the 'Paramore' album.
Track 7 - Miracle 8/10
Like this song, it is a bit shouty and is not as good as the others, but it is not the worst song I have ever heard! Quite like the lyrics, but there are definitely better songs on the album. The middle eight is fab!
Track 8 - Crushcrushcrush 100000/10
Love this song. So so so much. My favourite ever Paramore song! Everything about it is brilliant - verses, chorus, all of it. I love to sing it really loudly in the car/shower/my room/anywhere really.
Track 9 - We Are Broken 8/10
This song is fine, but not your typical up-beat Paramore number. Hayley's singing isn't as accurate as in the others, but it is a melodic and beautiful song. I do find it a bit dull when I have previously listened to something up-beat and jolly and then this comes up, but it is a good song in isolation.
Track 10 - Fences 10/10
Love this song. The verses work really well, and the chorus is brilliant. Enough said.
Track 11 - Born For This 10/10
Another brilliant song to end the album on a high. When I first listened to it, I didn't like the echo-y part of the verses, but I have grown to love what they add to the song. LOVE it!
Whole album:
Really good album. I recommend it to everyone - as it's quite old (relatively of course haha!) I think it is £5.99 in HMV, which is not much to pay for such a genius album. Not sure what I would do without this CD as I listen to songs from it almost everyday!

All Time Low - Nothing Personal
I thought, for my first ever blog post on this blog, that I should review an album that I love to death and listen to extremely frequently.
Nothing Personal is the first of All Time Low's albums that I bought, and I obviously decided to buy their other albums after hearing this incredible one a few years ago.
Track 1 - Weightless 10/10
This song is a complete classic. It is rocky, uplifting, and contains the usual cheeky American twang that All Time Low's songs usually have. Also, most of your friends may have heard of this even if not the band, as its one of those songs that everyone has heard without realising.
Track 2 - Break Your Little Heart 9/10
Love this track! Really good song to belt out at top volume (though not in public as it doesn't have a very positive message). Great guitar sounds and catchy tune.
Track 3 - Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don't) 8/10
Another brilliant song, not as good as the previous two but still has an excellent melody and very catchy. Is quite repetitive I find - not as many hidden layers waiting to be discovered with each listen. But it is still a solid, quality ATL track.
Track 4 - Lost In Stereo 7/10
Unlike the rest of the ATL fan base it seems, this song is not one of my favourites. Sure, it has their usual quality of music and lyrics, but I find it a bit samey and more disposable than their others. Still nice to listen to - I wouldn't skip it if it came up on my shuffle!
Track 5 - Stella 8/10
A couple of years ago, this was one of my favourites by ATL because it has an upbeat, catchy rhythm and tune that is nice to belt out when in the shower. However, in recent years when I have started to appreciate more the musical genius side of things, I find it a bit dull - possibly due to months of over listening however!
Track 6 - Sick Little Games 5/10
Never liked this one. I don't really find it appealing, and can't help but feel that if it came on the radio I wouldn't pay any attention. However, it is not completely awful and I can easily listen to it as background, it just isn't as good as the others.
Track 7 - Hello, Brooklyn 9/10
This song is fab. Love it. Especially the bit when it starts listing towns... (if you listened to it you'd know what I mean!). Really fantastic song.
Track 8 - Walls 6/10
This song is another one that I have never liked. When I first heard the album, I didn't like it then so always skipped it if it came up on my iPod, so therefore have never bothered with it. Recently I have tried it again, and its okay but not my fave.
Track 9 - Too Much 10/10
Love this song so much. It sounds bland when you initially hear it, but believe me if you give it time it will grow on you and it is beautiful. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! Can't stop myself from yelling the middle eight really loudly though... 'I NEED TO FIND A REASON TO FEEL...'
Track 10 - Keep the Change, You Filthy Animal 9/10
Another great track! Not sure where the title comes into the song, but I like it and it is really tuneful and enjoyable to listen to.
Track 11 - A Party Song (The Walk of Shame) 7/10
This song is okay. Not mad on it. My sister loves it and it was for a while her fave ATL song, but I find it a bit of a 'filler track', if you know what I mean.
Track 12 - Therapy 10/10
Of course this song is brilliant. Anyone who has seen it live must know that it is the loveliest and most beautiful song (other than Remembering Sunday). To be honest, it isn't your typical ATL number but I would give it time to show you its full potential.
BONUS TRACK 13 - Poison 7/10
Bought this song from iTunes more recently that the others, so haven't listened to it as much. Its okay - sounds different to usual ATL, and not necessarily good, but its tolerable as a song.
Album in general:
This album is fantastic. Most of my reviews are probably harsher than necessary purely because I have listened to the songs so much that they have become easier to find fault with (even if they are perfect).
